WILDLIFE EMERGENCY
In Maricopa County, it is illegal to feed, attract, or entice wildlife (except birds and tree squirrels). Violations can result in up to a $300 fine. For more information, visit Arizona Game and Fish or call the confidential tip hotline at 1-800-352-0700.
Sharing space with wildlife in residential areas requires a few easy-to-follow guidelines:
• Do not intentionally feed wildlife; animals quickly associate access to food with humans.
• Keep birdseed off the ground and out of reach.
• Store garbage securely.
• Do not discard edible garbage where wildlife can get to it.
• Feed pets indoors or remove leftover food immediately.
• Don’t let your pets roam free.
